Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Double click on My Computer from your desktop.
  1. Double click on Dial-Up Networking.
  1. Open Make New Connection.

4. Enter Alluretech.net in the first blank space. Your modem device will be displayed in the lower box. There should be no need to change this information. Press the NEXT button when done.

  1. Press the Tab key to leave the Area Code blank. Enter either the local access number you have been provided or 462-0493 (local Casper Number) in the Telephone Number box. Contact us if Casper is not local and we'll lookup a local number for your area.   Press NEXT.
  1. Press the FINISH button.
  2. Right click on your new connection then click on Properties. The icon should be labeled as “Alluretech.net”.
  3. Enter your dialup username. Use the username in the box on your account information sheet provided. Username should be the same as the primary email address on the account. The format of the username should resemble: myaccount@alluretech.net
  4. Press tab key on your keyboard and enter your password.
  5. Click on the box next to “Save Password”.
  6. Now press the “Connect” button.
  7. You should see a dialup dialog window. Your computer will begin the connection process.
  8. Once connected, the dialup connection dialog window will disappear. Look at the bottom right of your screen for two small computers. This means you are connected. (by your clock)
  9. You can now launch your Internet browser (internet explorer). Double click on the browser icon.  
  10. To disconnect when done:
    a) Right click on the two computers at the bottom right.
    b) Select disconnect and press the left button.

Place your new dialup icon on your desktop

  1. Double click on My Computer from your desktop.
  2. Double click on Dial-Up Networking.
  3. Right click on the icon labeled Alluretech.net.
  4. Click on Create Shortcut. Then click on YES to place the shortcut on your desktop.
  5. Close this window and you should see a new icon your desktop.
